Nithya Raman
We are delighted to endorse Nithya Raman for Mayor. As one of the first candidates endorsed by Streets for All before being elected in a "political earthquake" in 2019, she has since led with passion and pragmatism while fighting for a Los Angeles that works for everyone.
As Councilmember Nithya has been a citywide leader in the fight for safer streets. She has been a strong supporter of bike lanes, bus shelters, and improving bus and train efficiency in her district and across the region. She was one of Measure HLA’s most fervent supporters in 2024.
Nithya has challenged the City’s spending on homelessness and demanded efficiency and transparency. She has combatted LA’s exclusionary zoning by working to expand housing capacity through the City’s CHIP and supported SB79. She has been a leader for building more housing, protecting renters, expanding LA’s park space, and cleaning our air.
Few politicians have Nithya’s combination of deep policy knowledge combined with the passion and determination it takes to lead as an executive. We think she’d make a transformative mayor. Learn more about Nithya’s campaign here.
Hugo Soto Martinez
Hugo Soto-Martinez has been one of our closest allies on the city council since his election in 2022; under his leadership, CD-13 got its first protected bike lane on Hollywood Bl, and the longest in the city (outside of the valley). Additionally, he has steadfastly supported Measure HLA and bus lanes in the district. Learn more at hugo2026.com
John Erickson
John Erickson has consistently demonstrated an expert understanding of how to make streets safer for all modes of transportation, and we think he would do a great job to further these goals in the California Senate. Learn more at johnerickson4senate.com.
Lindsey Horvath
Lindsey Horvath endorsed Measure HLA during the campaign, and has since started a process that will lead to a county version of HLA. In addition, she has shown leadership and courage with key safety changes on PCH, and in pushing the K Line Northern Extension Forward. Learn more at lindseyhorvath.com
